Covington follows Tab Townsell within the position. Townsell, a former Conway mayor, retired earlier this yr after main the group for six years.
Covington has labored at Metroplan since 2004, serving as deputy director for six years and extra just lately as interim government director. He is an engineer and authorized planner with the American Planning Affiliation. Covington additionally serves on the nationwide coverage board of the American Affiliation of Metropolitan Planning Organizations.
