One killed in officer-involved capturing at Richland Walmart

RICHLAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Brokers with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) are investigating a deadly officer-involved capturing that occurred on the Richland Walmart.

In keeping with MBI, the capturing occurred on the Walmart off of U.S. 49 round 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21.

Brokers mentioned Richland police have been responding to an obvious hostage scenario. Police initially mentioned they responded to an incident involving a weapon on the Walmart.

MBI officers mentioned the suspect within the capturing died. There are not any different identified accidents right now.

As soon as MBI completes their investigation, brokers will share their findings with the Mississippi Legal professional Normal’s Workplace.

The Walmart was closed Wednesday night. There’s no phrase on if the shop will reopen on Thursday.
