A Chinese company has created the world’s first flying saucer that can carry a passenger and has been designed to look like a cartoon UFO.
Developed by Shenzhen UFO Technology, the peculiarly shaped craft made its debut flight in Shenzhen Talent Park this week.
Dubbed the iUFO, the craft consists of a transparent domed compartment in the central section that provides a 360-degree view for the pilot.
The craft has no passenger seat and it takes off and lands vertically, resting on the ground on three supports.
However, you can’t get far in one as it’s powered by a battery pack that can hold just enough charge for about 15 minutes in the air.
The dish can solely rise to an altitude of as much as 200metres and may apparently fly as quick as 50km/h horizontally.
It may be managed each robotically or manually, permitting the passenger to regulate the craft or to easily take pleasure in panoramic views from a chook’s eye view.
The craft that took three years to construct is predicted to be improved to be used in sightseeing.
