Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen stepped down as head of her ruling social gathering after it suffered defeat in Saturday’s native elections whereas the Beijing-friendly essential opposition held its floor.

“The election outcomes weren’t as anticipated …. I ought to shoulder all of the duty and I resign as DPP chairwoman instantly,” she instructed reporters. Ms Tsai will keep on as President of the self-ruled island.
